In Japan and buying a PCB: HELP

Post by Ash Riot »

So I checked out Mak Japan and GFRONT, looking to get either Death Smiles or Mushihimesama Futari. They have both games, including the Black Label version of Futari. I love both games, but I can't afford to get both of them at the moment. What do you guys think I should do?

Get Futari Black Label. The other two will be easy to find later for the same price or cheaper (definitely cheaper in the case of DeathSmiles). Futari BL is awesome and will be rare and (even more) expensive very soon.

EOJ, do you know how successful has Death Smiles been? Will it drop to Ibara-level prices? I'd buy one then just for the Hell of it.

Though if I had more money I would still rather get Galuda II or Futari.

The game has been very successful, and continues to be wildly popular in Japan. It'll never approach the bottomed-out Ibara new kit price (no Cave game will from now on - that was a mistake AMI will not do again). It'll probably bottom out at around $1000 like Futari. It's currently 168,000yen at Fujita.

Of course used, bare PCBs will be available for cheaper in a year or 2, if you want to wait a bit. But probably not less than 70-80K yen.

That's a very good point. Thank you.
