Acid King wrote: Try tapping slash as you're comboing enemies, if you don't do this already. It moves you quickly through the combo and doesn't affect your multiplier. You'll come out of it faster so you'll be able to charge the slash quicker and less enemies will escape when you're comboing. I posted it in the strategy thread but I don't think anyone bothers to look at that.
Yep, this makes a difference alright, and as you said, doesn't affect the multiplier.

Catch me if you can! :D

1,437,155,000 - Stage 4 - EHH - 67

No Homura (or any thing else) this week-end :(

By the way, the 'speed up' seven barrier isn't helping me nearly as much as I thought it would...

Most of the time I find it helps to speed up the dash, but there are a few instances where I let it go the full distance, to clear the screen of bullets when it finishes.

Yea, it does help. Just not the 'wow, I'm going to add +5 to +10 to each of my multipliers!" Ahh well.

Tekneekz - 1,139,664,810- Stage ALL - EHE - 66

so i just got back into this game again, i have a question, so does tapping the slash button after u activate the enemy slashes increase your multipler, i always thought it decresed my multipler the faster i let him slash through everything? how do u guys get 7x multiplier in stage 4, im pretty sure it has to do with the 2 worms that come down, it usually gives me 60-65 multiplier, any tips for getting the 7x multiplier?

Tapping it doesn't increase the multiplier, it just brings you out of the combo faster.

Holy heck do I love this game.

Current best:

Bridget - 541,234,000 - Stage 4 - EEH - 53

Still trying to figure out if I should go with easy or hard during stage 2.... hmm.....

Regardless, the stage 2 boss is a total pain in the ass during his 2nd form.

I'll go on record saying that the left path of stage 2 seems to net you more dash multipliers right in the beginning, there's a huge crowd of guys that comes down right as it starts, which you don't get on the right path.

I'm ashamed to admit I've only played it for a few hours yet. I should probably send it back and buy a copy.

Plasmo - 1,504,939,000 - Stage 4 - EHH - 80

Where's the extra 100mill Rando got??
My max multipliers through the stages are:

Stage 1: x53
Stage 2: x61
Stage 3: x40
Stage 4: x80

What am I missing, where do I need to improve?

Whoa man that's a nice score. I'm gonna really need to get back in this game and find those points that you managed to get.

Yea Rando's score is pretty crazy. I'm not sure if he has written what you're looking for, but he has a few Homura articles up on his blog: http://www.free-conversant.com/gaming_j ... Query=true

Plasmo - 1,719,621,000 - Stage 5 - EHH - 80

Score progression in this run was something like:
Stage 1: 375mill - Stage 2: 690mill - Stage 3: 890mill - Stage 4: 1,7bill

Slowly getting the hang of Stage 4...

Stage 4 is incredibly frustrating if you want to go for a high score. If you just mad dash everything away it's manageable but still not easy. The 4th and 5th boss aren't that easy either.
Still, great game!

Cowboy-NOA - 1,812,457,000 - Stage ALL - EHH - 79

Done! :D I'm kinda proud to have this rather hard 1cc under my belt now. It was also quite a consistent run scorewise, 1,9bill wouldn't be possible with my current strategies.

Stage 1: 377mill
Stage 2: 701mill
Stage 3: 910mill
Stage 4: before boss 1,6bill -> after boss 1,71bill

The other 700mill to reach the world record are probably extreme stage 4 and 5 boss milking.
