How's Mr. Driller 2 (GBA)?

Post by alpha5099 »

I saw recently that Mr. Driller 2 just got a US release. Dril Land is my only experience with the series, and I loved it. Drill Spirits was one of the games that was really beckoning me to get a DS. I was hoping that MD2 is a worthwhile game, some mobile Mr. Driller would kick major ass. Thoughts?

Mr. Driller A owns it so hard, that you might uppercut some kid just for opening a window.

Just get A ;)

Did Ace get a US release, or will I have to import?

import only. I think there's a european version which I would suggest getting instead of the japanese. but the JP one is ok, you can just trial and error it.

Nah, Ace never made it over to Europe, and 2 only got a (very) limited release.

Ace may be better than 2, but that doesn't change the fact that Mr. Driller 2 is still an excellent game and much easier to find than Ace. It's also only $19.99, so it's probably cheaper than Ace too. It doesn't have as many modes as latter Mr. Driller games, but it does have the cool time attack mode. It also has everything intact from the Japanese and European versions of the game, unlike Drill Spirits. Drill Spirits has more modes, so if you get a DS, you might want that instead, though.
