Sigh, Namco is releasing another compilation, on all three of the consoles. I'm pretty sure their entire corporate struction these days is making Soul Calibur, Tekken, and that drum game, and releasing more and more collections containing Pac-Man and Galaga. Here's the list from Magic Box:
* Pac-Man (1980)
* Ms. Pac-Man (1981)
* Galaga (1981)
* Galaxian (1979)
* Dig Dug (1982)
* Pole Position (1982)
* Pole Position II (1983)
* Rolling Thunder (1987)
* Rally X (1980)
* Bosconian (1981)
* Dragon Spirit (1987)
* Sky Kid (1985)
* Xevious (1982)
* Mappy (1983)
Not too shabby, even a few shmups, although it's nothing we haven't seen before. Maybe they'll include the Arrange versions they included in the last version of the Museum.
What I am really praying for is tate. It was awful having to play all those games in letter-boxed mode. A tate mode would definitely convince me to buy the same games over again.
And hopefully the sound is better, it was pretty crap on the GC Namco Museum.

Jo0 I'm tempted to believe they don't have anything newer or they're cheap bastards who can't bundle games unless they're 15 centuries old.
* Tekken bundle the exception, I guess.

Namco do sometimes still release innovative new games like Breakdown (2004) but then everybody bitches about it. So damned if you do damned if you don't, really...alpha5099 wrote:I'm pretty sure their entire corporate struction these days is making Soul Calibur, Tekken, and that drum game, and releasing more and more collections containing Pac-Man and Galaga.

Wow Namco, thanks for being really lazy and giving me absolutely ZERO REASON to buy your old school compilation over Taito's. Too bad Taito isn't doing so hot financially, otherwise I'm sure their comp would force other 3rd parties to sit up and take notice when making their collections.
I read on TNL that Namco was planning on releasing a comp with Klonoa Tekken, Ace Combat, RR and their other older PS1 games, that would be OK.

Whacha mean!!?? They have their entire staff working on NAMCO vs CAPCOM!!!!!!
(and yes, nice tates of all this might induce me to purchase. After all, it isn't a bad collection--just the millionth (or is that millard) time we've seen it.)

No no, "milliard" is another way of saying "billion". Everyone agrees on what "million" means.CMoon wrote:Whacha mean!!?? They have their entire staff working on NAMCO vs CAPCOM!!!!!!
