Cave should make a never ending story Shmup

Cave's new game after that Gothic Loitia one, Death Smiles isn't it should be Never Ending Story.. Do it like a Dragon Breed like game where you fly the 'Wish Dragon' and 'Bastian Balthazar Bux kid' or the princess and you can dismount and run round.. You could have the nothingness, or even clone his mother and bring her back as a super soldier' (she dies in the film btw) Also after you beat the last boss and you fly down and knock them kids in the bin you could have a true last boss.. I think it would be a bit of a winner, with a scrumptous sense of style

I'm kinda a nerd and had to correct that....

It would be sweet, except there's next to no enemies in Neverending Story and all the characters that would be cool to fight in a shmup are good guys.[/b]

Obviously it would have to loop infinitely. And play a horrible, deafening midi version of the theame song during attract mode. And while you're playing it. It would be horrific.

Any Never Ending Story game should really be a Euroshmup, just for the sake of continuity...

seconded, and therefore it should have around 30 different weapon pickups, with none that actually work properly.

and also, the fact that there are no enemies to fight will fit right in with this idea as well.

In all seriousness, I'd rather the guys who make Ico and Shadow of the Colossus make a Never Ending Story game, then Cave.

"They look like big strong hands... don't they...?"

I also want to say that I know people are going to tease and laugh at the Never Ending Story, but in my opinion it's still an awesome movie, to me the main theme of that movie wasn't that it was a fantasy movie, or a luck dragon, or all these cutsy things... it was the moral that people are just loosing their ability to use their imagination and thus are loosing their ability to care about one another. Concidering the top news story most places are running is the fact Britney Spears bought a home pregnancy kit and had sex in a dressing room of some clothing store right there in front of everyone. I'm gonna have to say the plot is pretty relevant.
