My computer doesn't like SSV emu.

For the past week, whenever I've tried to play Vasara or Vasara 2 on MAME (ver 0.69), my computer freezes after maybe a stage's play. Other ROMs of the same size seem to run fine both on MAME and other emus. Now, is the freezing something to do with the old version, lack of memory or is my system overheating(*) while trying to run them? Should I wait till the weather cools off?

*It really is 37 degrees right now in India.

Have you tried a more recent version of MAME, such as 0.95?

Both games are officially in right now, so try updating and see if it's just the old build not loving you.

Let me try that...but it was working fine since Jan. That's why I'm puzzled
