Home theater setup..adding a 2nd Subwoofer....- ideas?

Hello!

I have an Onkyo 7.1 THX in a box dealio- I want to add a 2nd subwoofer. I have one sub out- and I'm pretty sure that it would be a bad idea to split that line and add another sub that way. What kind of gear am I going to need to add another identical subwoofer to this setup?

You're most likely using an active subwoofer, so your subwoofer output on your amp or receiver is just a line out and not amplified signal like on the other speakers. You can easily split this simply up into two and connect two subwoofers this way.
