saturn/psx in a jamma cab

Post by charlie chong »

alright gonna make a jamma biscuit that i can plug a saturn and psx into..
im just wondering can i solder both saturn and psx controllers pcbs to the jamma biscuit at the same time without affecting play ??i.e saturn and psx pad connected to player1 controls and another saturn and psx pad on player 2 controls..
would prefer just to make one that works for saturn AND psx rather than make 2..

I've tried having a saturn pad and PSX pad connected to the same buttons, and for some reason it doesn't work. On the PSX pad, if you press any button they all get activated. Disconnecting the Saturn ground didn't help. The PSX controller was an official PS1 controller (not analog), the Saturn controller is a homemade PCB (but effectively identical to the real one).

They make a switch for old computers for changing between big cables, a network switch or something with 25 or so pins. I've used multiple controllers with one of those before (just turn the dial for each controller). A 25 pole 2 to 6 throw switch. THey were common at thrift stores.
