Thunder Force V, freerange.
I could try; hell, I have the game so why not? I did come close with Darius Gaiden once, but never succeeded that epic stunt again =<

Yeah you do need more TV's set up for games. Maybe eventually if we get more people to bring their own consoles to chip in we can stop controller passing(And blatantly stealing it when we don't want to give it up :lol: ).

To give SNES shmups the recognition that they probably deserve. They do deserve recognition, don't they?

-Finish Laseroid and start writing some other shmup (preferably in some non-interpreted language.)

-Buy a Dreamcast.

Yeah, really. :lol: I always seem to forget how useful a bomb can be.

I would like to seriously concentrate on building up my collection by tracking down the more rare titles (not just shmups, though). I need to hurry up and get those out of the way before they're worth a fortune.

Also, I WILL 1cc Batsugun before the year ends. I must!!!!!

Ooh, that's a good one! Although I already own 3 of the titles for it that were ported to the GC. I suppose I could always use another copy of Ikaruga though. Chaos Field and Radirgy don't warrant a second copy though.

To buy less shooters and play the ones I already have. Ever since my folks came home for good and took control of the TV, the ol' game systems have been gathering dust.

Oops, also forgot, to finish my homebrew shooter...

One of my resolutions is to finally get a drivers licence. Driving a car is kinda like a shmup right? You just dodge cars, bicylces, and motorbikes instead of bullets. And you don't shoot.

I want to 1cc Dodonpachi without having to use any bombs. That's my big goal for the time being. Dunno about a new-year's resolution though, as it's been what I've more or less been working towards ever since I cleared the first loop however many months ago.

You should also include grazing, a lot of people have 'grazed' my car recently.

To-1CC list:
• Perfect Cherry Blossom (Phantasm stage — almost got it, dammit; maybe hard, too?);
• DDP (anything goes);
• Mountain of Faith (hard mode);
• rRootage (all stages on normal and Psy modes);
• Imperishable Night (Extra, but I think no way in hell I'd be able to do that).

To-1LC list:
• Perfect Cherry Blossom (easy);
• Mountain of Faith (easy);
• Blue Wish Resurrection (heaven with autoguard off).

To-improve-score list:
• Perfect Cherry Blossom (normal, easy, perhaps Extra too);
• Imperishable Night (normal);
• Titanion (modern);
• Blue Wish Resurrection (heaven)
• Mountain of Faith (normal);
• Embodiment of Scarlet Devil (normal).

greetings,

would like to 1cc:
Imperishable Night (lunatic)
Perfect Cherry Blossom (hard)

get score runs that I'm happy with of:
Imperishable Night (easy, hard)

pacifist clear (no shoot, no bomb)
Imperishable night easy and perfect cherry blossom easy.

also, Imperishable Night extra 1cc was one my goals for this year, but I managed that 2 days ago so thats one out of the way already.

try a non touhou shmup.
I just recently cut my teeth on shmups with touhou and I don't know much outside of that. any good suggestions for where to go and what to try?
leaning towards bullet hell-ish, small hitbox type games I guess.
