Muchi Muchi Pork. I got to play it for a couple of days when I went to see oxtsu in Oklahoma City. I had this really killer cold though and couldn't enjoy it properly. I like Ikuo the best (in the blue) <3

Most played/enjoyed - Played a lot of games from the early 90s this year. Raiden DX, Konami stuff, some early Psikyo, and I got 4 Toaplan PCBs this year (Outzone, Dogyuun, Tatsujin-Oh & Vimana) all of which I love!
Cho Ren Sha, and some Ikaruga. but definitely the Cho Ren Sha. My friend and I are in a scoring competition that was started over the summer, and it's pretty tight competiton. I've had some fast-paced adrenaline rushing moments with cho ren sha. And I haven't even finished it yet.
I've mainly been playing Under Defeat this year, and enjoying it a lot. Also got into Rayforce, Raystorm and Kamui as a result, along with Darius Gaiden. I would love to try Border Down, but I've not had much actual time around my consoles in 2007. Basically I picked up a strong liking for G-Rev and Taito this year. Hopefully in 2008 I'll finally get to put some more time on my PS2 shooters, and shooters in general.
Truxton being the one which I still occasionally play, on fba. Lately I keep messing up before stage 3 boss, losing the life with the stocked bombs from the speed section, thus game overing... I used to get farther
I'm surprised to see so many people only just getting into the Cave games. I'd assumed everyone was over them from most of the rhetoric on these forums, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
2006 was "recent Cave" year for me. 2007 I went backwards and played a lot of older stuff. Juno First saw a whole lot of play in the beginning of the year. I got back into Contra III on SNES too. I used to be much better at it as a young fella. And of course, DoDonPachi keeps me coming back time and time again.
No new 1CCs for me this year. Far too busy to put any substantial learning time into anything.

They do, its called Pink Sweets! My fav for the year.
Another +1 for Pink Sweets - just acquired the board, and really enjoying it, which is bizarre for someone who generally dislikes cutesy games - maybe the sluts compensate
2007 was a year of Raiden DX, Truxton and Fireshark for me - plenty of fragmented play, but little in the way of achievement
Ketsui PCB went out of the door to a more deserving owner....
Rounded off the year with Daisenpu and Hellfire PCBs to keep the Toaplan flame burning.....
•Ibara — Blatant fanservice or not, I really can't hate a game with such whorish broads for boss pilots. Might as well keep the same attitude for all the female pilots in Pink Sweets, whenever it gets ported.
•Ikaruga — 2007 was my very first time playing this. I've had a Dreamcast since 2001, but I've never really put any thought about obtaining the game. Naturally, I got my ass kicked, and I still haven't gotten a good grasp of the scoring system since my last play (three months ago). Still, I've been itching to hop back into the game as of late. This and...
•Border Down — Same as above. Playing it once caused me to hunt down the game's soundtrack and anything else Zuntata. I still haven't reached any ending yet, due to my bad habit of temporarily losing interest in a game after little play switching on to something else (also three months since I last played).

The fun part was spending hours trying to devise a dependable scoring strategy to get me through stage two. This is also the last game that was able to bring me into the "flow".
i only discovered / got into the shmup genre this year so its been full of discovery , karous had me addicted for a whilst , mars matrix , mushi, bakraid and garegga have been my favs of the year
