I have been wanting to backup my PSX games on DVD-R, to play on my PS2, but don't know if this is possible. I know I can backup PS2 CDs on DVD, but can't find anything about the original PS1 games.
I don't want to burn out my laser.
Any info would be appreciated.

Not possible. Trust me. You can burn your CD-based PS2 games to DVD, by some method I don't know about, but it cannot be done with PS1 games.
Don't hold grudges. GET EVEN.

Why not just back up your PSX games to CD-R? As long as your PS2 can play CD-R's you should be fine...

No no. I hear that playing CD-Rs on your PS2 can wear the laser down prematurely. That's why I wanted to put them on DVD.
