Gradius Collection.

Post by Kumebahn »

So I was browsing my local gamestop, and I noticed that they had two copies of Gradius Collection for 14.99

I havent played any of the gradius games, my shmup experience lies almost completely with the touhou games. But should I go ahead and grab this?

(also I found Raiden III, but it was 20 dollars which seemed a bit too steep.)

Raiden 3 is excellent, go get it.
Gradius is a must, but if you're used to manics you'll have trouble adapting to it's (memorization-based) gameplay.

Yes, you must buy Gradius. The Big Core (and its many cousins) is/are waiting for you:

The only problem with the Gradius Collection is the PSP itself; the initial models have cruddy dpads and all of them have ghosting issues. But the collection is still well worth it.

Raiden III is great, too.

It includes Gradius Gaiden, which is otherwise hardly accessable to play!

Me like.

Oh yeah, the other problem that I failed to mention was that Gaiden is not 2 player.

Definitely grab Raiden III. It's very excellent.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

If you own a PSP, and you don't buy the Gradius Collection, seek professional help. There's obviously something wrong with you ;)
