Congrats, and welcome to the second loop.

Thanks Kiken. Guess I'll try for three million. But damn the second round is disorienting. My mind totally freezes trying to remember what comes next.

Would've had 2-3 if the rocket didn't misfired on the battleship bridge.

And lost a bunch of points because I used a bomb to killed the last boss.

Not far at all. Right when those two mega tanks came out. I think I got hit by its opening salvo.

I No Missed the first loop to the tune of 3.2 million. I only made a very small handful of mistakes (some scoring errors (not having my rocket ready at the appropriate spot or over-drilling a target to have a rocket cause splash damage) mostly in 1-2).

Once into loop 2, I just made it a point not to be greedy with my bombs. If things weren't looking good, just let loose a bomb. As a result, I managed to No Miss up until the stage 2-5 mid-boss (both a red and green mine exploded simultaneously as I was drilling the third engine and they caught me). I then managed to perform pretty well up until the 2-5 boss's final form, where I got hit trying to dodge the first lateral volley. This wasn't too bad though, as it set me up nicely to drill the cannon. I then bombed past both volleys after the cannon fired, setting myself up nicely for the final rocket kill. Aside from the errors in 2-5; I made a mess of the 2-4 boss (took way too long to kill), botched my percentage on stage 2-3 (only 80% kill ratio), and missed one of the armoured tanks in stage 2-2 (resulting in 94% kill ratio).

So there's plenty of room to clean up parts of the run. I know that the double suicide in stagee 1-1 grants an additional 400,000 points (having two lives left per stage is a top bonus of 20,000 versus 60,000 for having no lives left... so a 40,000 pt difference per level). But I'm not quite ready to mess with that yet. ;)

I lost two lifes in stage 2 but then managed to get to 1-4 without losing the third one :)

By the way is there a chance to get an extra life in this game?

Fuck this game.

EDIT: Just realised I supplied you with a slightly incorrect score last time round (5 & 1 wrong way round! oops!) so this score is slightly lower but is actually my new hi-score.

I really need to work on my skills in this game if I'm gonna get the WR. also to get these scores that are in the millions, what would be a good score for completing the first stage.

i can understand if you're feeling somewhat humbled.

just keep practicing, watch videos of other players, get tips, and stick with it :)
