Being able to focus your mind like a Buddhist Monk could greatly help your shmup skills. Able to focus on one point with out distractions could easily get you through bullet hells. Also you'll be nicer and happier and able to forgive casual gamers for all the stupid shit they say. :D

Both are dominant Asian religions.
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.

Ikaruga has a strong Bhuddist theme. It's focused around the ideas of reincarnation. I always thought this was way more interesting than the game itself :p

I should hope not. I never understood how the matrix portrayed enlightenment as being able to beat the fuck out of people.

Buddhists don´t care for score or 1ccs. They just play for fun - err, the "here and now".
