The FAQ guide said this was a thread of interest, so... here I am. Sorry for reading it a bit late!

I'm 14. Say all you want. I was introduced to shmups when I was given a rom of Gradius III (SNES) back in 2000 and enjoyed it. I went to look for equal games, and I found Shoot-the-core, which lead to here.

22 y.o. here, and I'm actually impressed at how huge the average age here is for a forum devoted to [a genre of] videogames.

TASvideos, a videogame-related community I spent a considerably amount of time in, has only ~21-22 as its average from what I remember. AFAIK, SDA also was rather "old" at the very beginning of its existence, but eventually got diluted by hundreds of preteens flooding the forum with Zelda run requests and such.

35. I don't even remember when I started visiting this forum. Definitely before 2002, I think back in the late 90's though. Shit.

Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Shmups are fun, yep!

Looking forward to having a cold one and shooting the shit. Haha, pun unintended.
