MVS 2,4,6 slot

Post by lawnspic »

i know they have a proprietary harness, but can they work with Jamma?

I just read the manual for my SG (Matt Ross) it says one of the buttons are used for selecting carts on multi slot boards so i assume it should work. But i want to make sure before i go buy one. Thanks

I hear it can permanently mess up the sound because the voltage is wrong or something. However, I used a four slot on my egret II for a couple of months before I got my big red, and nothing bad happened.

i contacted Matt and waiting for him to get back to me, but as far as i can tell Matt made his SG's compatible with the multis slot boards regarding cart selection and the audio issue. MVS uses a slightly different pinout than Jamma

The multi-slots are wired for stereo sound on the edge connector -- jamma standard is mono. Therefore, if you run one on a bog-standard jamma rig, you will damage the audio amp on the board.

My SG bult by Matt Ross has a mono/stereo switch on the back for compatability with MVS multi slot boards. Also there is a button wired for cart selection
