Which is the best way to buy a Batsugun OST, UD?

Thanks in advance for any reply.

They pop up on Yahoo Japan Auctions now and again. Price seems pretty random. Sometimes reasonable (what I paid, 1800JPY) sometimes silly (5000JPY). I'll let you know if I find one, for a good price, as I still look for Batsugun stuff regularly :)

My local Mandarake might have one... it would be somewhere close to the 5000 yen mark though. They aren't cheap.

Skull Hornets
That's really lovely from the looks of things. Is that how it appears in the magazine like UD's? Or is this a seperate release?

The one shown is the real thing... in glorious 136 page black and white glory. UD's was a sample.

GP, can you actually find a way to snag a copy? Money's not a problem and, after all, we're somehow neighbours (I live in Sydney right now...). Of course if you can find a place that ships to Oz, it would be much better, no further hassles.

I think I'm going to Shinjuku tomorrow to pick up some papers for the kid since my lazy wife will be doing things like cleaning up after me and watching the kid. I can probably scope it out in the next few days.

I got this board about a week ago as well. I noticed there are 2 sets of 8 switches on the PCB, but I don't have a clue what they are for exactly. I've only managed to find scans of manuals in Japanese, so I was wondering if you knew what they are for :)

Enter setup, by using switch 3 in DIP1.

It will all be explained.

Someone would need to find the other (5?) volumes. The Skull Hornets book isn't really scanable.

PAGE 1:

BATSUGUN TRUTH STORY

"The hatch is open!"

"All ships ready for launch!"

Elias: "Argh!"

Elias: "Jeeno, I'm counting on you to finish the job!"

Jeeno: "Elias, I'm sorry...I won't let your efforts go to waste!!"

Will this do for a start?

Love this game btw, it might be my favourite shooter.

CIT volunteered to xlate, but I won't stop anybody else who wants to go for it :D

I have 300dpi scans for anyone who wants something better to work with as far as using the art or adding their own translated text. Just need a good place to upload it to (photobucket only supports 1mb files for free hosting), or I can just e-mail it if somebody is serious.

I will translate it, but I can't retouch the comic, somebody else would have to do that. If anybody wants to do it, I'll send them the translated script then.

I'm really busy next week, so I'll probably get around to translating it the week after next.

You guys do realize you're reading one small part right in the middle of the story, right?

Hence my hesitation in getting involved at this point.

Sssweeet!

I purchased Batsugun for Saturn more than 6 months ago, but not having a Saturn hooked up, and then lack of a tate-able TV kept me from giving it a go.

So last night instead of going for TFVI, instead flipped the TV on end and was thrilled to have my socks rocked off by such an awesome game.

The Saturn game library: "The Gift that Keeps on Giving"

There isn't much point in me trying to express how cool and fun Batsugun is, as most all of you already know, no doubt.

But I've gotta mention those little piggies and their excitable ears!
So delightfully unexpected!
Are they related to Muchi Muchi Pork at all?

Batsugun, that's the one about the leader bee who shoots all of those crazy purple bullets while you use your skeeter shield right?

No, this game is not Space Invaders.

Batsugun rocks my socks off. Now I'm going to have to play it when I get home from work.

Question: Are PCB's prone to static electricity damage similarly like PC components?

I'm not sure but sticking it on that bed there (looks like a mattress) isn't that high risk of damaging the board?

I've seen people stick their PCB on the ground to photograph, I'm wondering how durable these boards are.

Anyways just a question feel free to answer if you know :)
Thanks

PCB's are prone to static electricity that is why we store them in pink antistatic bubble wrap or antistatic bags.

Putting your PCB on your bed providing you have cotton bedsheets is not that dangerous. Cotton does not build up charge that well. It's the static electricity which is dangerous i.e. carpets.

Some people take a photo of their PCB's outside because of light conditions. If you put your PCB on some tiles not a lot can happen.

When handling PCB's always handle them by the edges and do not touch any pins on the connector.

Thanks for the info rtw. I guess all those PC guys who are always paranoid about their PC parts sort of got to me lol.

Sweet but there is missing the SPECIAL VERSION EEPROM.

I have the saturn version and I think I'm not gonna buy the pcb because on saturn it's already nearly 1:1 Arcade without regarding the loading times.

What effect does have the Photoflash on a unprotected EEPROM ? I mean are they only damageble due UV Light (Sun) or generel highly lighting ?
