Just send that directly to Namco so they can delete it and stop ruining this board.

Is this Cosmic Gate game released for the USA NDS handheld or not?

COSMIC GATE is featured on the just released "Game Center CX" for NDS [import to the West] and is a very clever GALAGA inspired game! It is a SHOOTER and totally appropriate to this forum and to this thread....!

Naw, I think you need to send the letters to Namcot.
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.

Yes, if there's one thing we need it's more Galaga clones.

Cosmic Gate isn't the only shmup in that collection. Telling from the official site for the game, there is also a Star Soldier clone in it named "Star Prince". http://namco-ch.net/gamecenter_cx/game/index.php

Yes....

I realize that I could have just sent my inquiry to Namco...
That it is another clone of Galaga...
That Star Prince is also in Game Center CX...

But...

I wonder if they monitor these important customer player forums?
It is a Namco clone of Galaga and a clever one that's fun...!
I haven't achieved unlocking SP yet! I still look forward to that one.

My problem...

The NDS is just too small a display to enjoy this game on only!!!
Namco could easily build a three game "Game Center CX" for the coin-op game centers of the world! Like "Tenkomori Shooting" and "Namco Classics Collection Vol. 1 & Vol. 2" and 2 and also the "Pacman 25th Aniversary" Editions!

I love CAVE too! But not every shooter can come from them! Without the historical importance of Galaga and the ambition of Namco among others, there might not be a Cave today!!!Or a Raizing/Toaplan/Psikyo and so forth.....

I dont think they listen.
Even if you worked in Namco USA they wouldn't listen to you.

All the development decisions are made in japan and japanese don't care what we write here.

Sorry :)

I have worked for five different Japanese companies in the amusement game business, including Capcom - Sunsoft - Tecmo - Nichibutsu and Matsushita and what you say is very true. However, I also know that you can plant seeds in anyone's head if you are wise. Your idea this week - their idea next week!

All right then, I've been to game industry for some 12 years time but I think you just upped me in that context :)

That thing about "your idea-their idea" became more than true couple of times we tried to pitch concept to a japanese publisher..

I just want a version of Assault that I can use both analog sticks on.

There is old saying in the industry: "ideas matter nothing - all that matters is can you realize them" :/
