Shmup Dreams (or I really must start playing something else)
I've just had my first shmup dream. I was walking down a deserted street with only an arcade hall open. In it were various gambling machines and arcade cabinets. However, in the corner was a huge wide screen cabinet in Streetfighter style except this was an R-Type clone game with amazing graphics.
What a dream.
Maybe I need help.
Anyone else have similar dreams or is it just me that's losing it?

Just the other night I dreamt that I was torn between a Evangelion hori by Treasure and a Mushihime-sama styled rpg vert shmup by razing.
Both on the Dreamcast and in a comic book store for some reason (which also doubled as a hardware store)

In The Hunt is a game I played maybe once or twice. I should really give it some time I guess.
I HATE game dreams they usually prevent me from sleeping. If I polish off a 2 liter of diet coke before bed I sometimes get the same feeling. I can't sleep when I'm tensely playing a shmup that defies logic.

Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.

I had a dream about a shooter recently.
I was under the impression I was playing/watching DeathSmiles except it was a vertical scrolling game not horizontal, and that it was less colourful, and that it wasn't for arcade it was for Sega Saturn, and it wasn't by Cave it was by Raizing. It was a hell of a dream and a good game too.

I dreamt the other day I was on a hillside covered in holes. Otters were scuttling from one to the other, and I had to catch them for my job. Hard enough on it's own, but there were big sweeping Psyvariar bullet patterns spiralling out of some of the holes, and I had to buzz them. Holding and otter while buzzing equalled double pay.
1cc'ed Psyvariar Revision for the first time the day before, and played a lot of the new PS3 Loco Roco, and I just like otters, so I guess it's all pretty obvious whyit happened...
