The fanning-out spread shot (unique to the second tank) is presumably what is killing you here. Since the spread is aimed towards the bottom, you can simply move quickly above the tank while he's shooting, then move back down to finish him off. He shoots in regular intervals so it shouldn't be too hard to get the timing right.- I had to bomb on Stage 2's Amphibious tank. I can't successfully point-blank it without getting shot down.

Oh.......OH....... OOOOHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!CIT wrote:That wouldn't do you any good, because the requirements for the third radar are:Wait, does this mean I can bomb if the tank's "cover" is intact?
1) blow cover off first tank
2) destroy second tank
3) destroy first tank
4) activate and destroy the line of 4 radars
all this while not bombing
That bolded statement just totally nullified my confusion! No wonder 99% of the time I can never get the pyramid, even if I didn't bomb!
The Raiden DX ST over here in this forum is so misleading sometimes.
Yeah, that ST needs an overhaul. There's a bunch of stuff missing from it as well.
BTW, I've decided to note the version played (PCB or PS1) in the arcade table, as the two versions are not exactly alike, for example the requirements for the 7th radar are much harder on PS1 and you can manipulate the guts bonus with the PCB.
I will assume the PS1 version was played for everybody's old scores unless people inform me otherwise.

All I know in the PS1 version is that in order to get the 7th pyramid, you have to activate but don't destroy the 3 radars and get the DX bonuses for all trains. What makes the PCB requirement different from the PS1?CIT wrote: ...for example the requirements for the 7th radar are much harder on PS1...

Youtube. Look on my profile (Username: SFKhoa) and I have TWO RDX replays. CIT is referring to my 4.7M replay.Mills wrote:Where is this replay?CIT wrote:Cool, I updated your score and watched your replay.

Continued post:
Okay, so I managed to get the 3rd pyramid. Getting that 5th (or is it 4th) pyramid is a bitch though. The one that you have to activate the centre THEN deactivate the other 4 surrounding it.
How the hell can you pull that off without getting sniped?!

You mean because of the two tanks on the island?
There's different ways to approach it. Some people fly up real close and point blank them, but I often messed it up and destroyed the radars accidentally, so I prefer taking them out with the outermost line of the spreadshot, but of course that requires good aiming. Just try out what works best for you.

Someone needs to dig out a Raiden DX board and put it in Casino arcade again. I want to watch Mills get back to Loop 4 (Charlie/Advanced).
Mills - Can you bug Bob to find Goodge's DX board? It must be somewhere....maybe in the Hanger Lane office.
Preferably before London Meet 6.

You give people on here too much credit Mills. I doubt there is even a handful of people who've logged even a fraction of the time you've spent on this and countless other games. Let's not forget many of the games you excell at are often seen as challenging even now, like Charlie Mission in DX. All the same, I hope too you get some sort of DX outlet to play on, I think that would be a real treat to see.Mills wrote:Ive just looked at the highscore table on Charlie mission. how come no one has got to level 8 yet? i havent played this on my playstation for over 6-7 years yet no one seem to have looped it yet. whats going on people?

I did reach the last boss on Pcb board, but for some reason I got so occupied on my (ultimately fatal) competition with icarus on alpha/bravo missions that I never played it *seriously* on PSX.Mills wrote:Ive just looked at the highscore table on Charlie mission. how come no one has got to level 8 yet? i havent played this on my playstation for over 6-7 years yet no one seem to have looped it yet. whats going on people?
Since you put it this way, I'm going to get on to this..
