Where to go for boards in Japan?
Hi, I'm new here, although I've been lurking for a while. I have a Raiden. That's it. Great collection, eh? I do have a MAME system rigged up in a Megalo 410. That's a lot of fun.
Anyway, I've got a buddy over in Japan right now for the TCS Worlds. I think he's in Kakegawa, Shizuoka. Does anyone know where I can tell him to go to find a good PCB shop?
Thanks.

Thanks, but I can't find the sticky you're talking about. There's the Play-asia coupon thread, and the Feedback Thread. I see the sticky for ordering PCBs from Japan using Japanese online auction sites, and it has links to websites for actual businesses located in Hong Kong, but I didn't see anything about where the shops are in Japan that you can just walk into and buy a game....

Thanks, GaijinPunch, that helps a lot. I couldn't get an address out of every one of the websites listed to verify what neorich said.
I don't know if Tokyo is on his itinerary, but we'll see. My friend hasn't seen any PCB shops, but he says he's getting lots of pics of schoolgirls. I'll have to make the trip myself someday....

i dont know who your friend is but sending someone with limited or no knowlede of arcade PCBs into one of the shops in Tokyo is pretty useless really.gibbous wrote:Thanks, GaijinPunch, that helps a lot. I couldn't get an address out of every one of the websites listed to verify what neorich said.

you have to know what youre looking for to find anything in any of them, contrary to popular belief most of them are actually quite expensive too, making bargains even harder to find for the untrained eye.
the destruction of everything, is the beginning of something new. your whole world is on fire, and soon, you'll be too..

I think you can post a nice album of all the schoolgirls. I think that alone makes your thread worthwhile.gibbous wrote:Thanks, GaijinPunch, that helps a lot. I couldn't get an address out of every one of the websites listed to verify what neorich said.
