an "arcade" stick for the wii

...so i came across this announcement today:

doubt it will even be a playable stick but it comes in three colors and it's up for pre-order for $39.95 over at http://www.wiishaft.com/

I don't know...I kinda like that thing...for fighting games like Capcom products...however it does not look shmup friendly.

THE SHAFT for the Wii.

The lack of joysticks for err.....consoles....like the XBOX and Wii is a sign of the times

. The western games industry is moving further and further from joysticks and the games that require them.

Aesthetically I don't care for curvy arcade sticks. It looks too much like the Vsmile controller.

yes, i know. also recall reading rather disappointed first impressions of the hori fighting stick for the wii.

the whole design of 'the shaft' reminds me a bit of the "pro-shock arcade 2" by blaze in a more modern box. sadly that stick isn't too great...

I saw this over at SA. The guy was literally slaughtered by everyone for displaying that crappy commercial, and was told to do something else or do it differently. I can't blame them, it's cheesy as hell. And the name? Don't get me started.

I did make a thread on the Hori Fighting Stick Wii in Off-Topic..
