i've only 1cc'ed a couple of games, but i guess my biggest achievement would be 1cc'ing two games back to back -- both PC freeware games,
"demolition gunner" and "eden's edge" - both on normal difficulty. i hadn't really been practicing either of them so i guess i was in the zone that morning.
as for crowds, there's not really any significant arcades with shmups where i live in North Carolina, but about 5 years ago when DDR was starting to become popular in the states, i used to play DDR at concord mills mall in charlotte during the holidays ... we would routinely get crowds of 50+ people to watch. the machine was right by the window of the arcade where a lot of people walked by ... it was awesome
1cc'd Batrider today. got the pcb almost a year ago and have been playing steadily since. its also my first 1CC for a standard difficulty setting for any shmup!!
i thought about it all day at work and felt like today it would finally happen. im super excited right now, too bad my roommate wound understand the significance when i tell him tonight.
"People on the shmups.com forum say this game is excellent, let me check it out.. oh ok the graphics are pretty good and the weap... oh wait a minute what the fuck? Is it finished already?"
