Why the hell everyone thinks I continue on Shikigami no Shiro I, II, and III?

A continue is always rare on my part.

I never understand, because this comment is all coming from you, JoshF and shoesama.

One of the few times I use a continue.

But really two continues to beat a game you didn't play for six months is a problem.

On-Topic: I think some of the PC Engine games had some terrible SEs.

Heh, indeed.

At any rate, I honestly cannot think of a shmup with bad sound effects. I tried, but I rarely notice the SFX, mostly just the music.

Though I'll say Planet Joker has horrible sound effects since I can't even remember that game having sound. I guess I blocked it out or something.

Is this a joke topic? Anyway, I feel many 2600 shmups have poor sound effects. A few of those have excellent gameplay that makes up for it, though.

The only one that comes to mind is the Psikyo Shooter Collection with the Strikers games on it. And the sound effects aren't bad, so much as the Hayate in Part II has shots that are WAY too loud and high pitched. They can get annoying real fast. I don't have the same problem when MAMEing it, but damn if the PS2 collection doesn't drive me insane.

The only way anyone could think SNS 3 is easier than SNS 2 is that SNS 3 provides you with no credit limit. Barring that, SNS 3 is much more restrictive and has awesomely sadistic level design, especially in comparison to 2. Only someone who keeps pressing start after they lose all their lives would say 3 is easier.

So, you are telling us that Darius II, Gaiares, MUSHA, Thunder Force TFII, TFIII, and TFIV have bad SFX? LOL. You're not serious.
I'm dead serious. I like MD, but it's sound is just bad. I haven't played all games you mentioned, but Darius, TF4 and MUSHA all have shitty SFX. I like musha and TF music but all shots and explosions sound like various farts. And i won't even talk about awful 1-bit digitized samples most MD games use.

Wrong.

I found SnS3 to be much more easier than 2.

Two was a pain.

Gradius Galaxies. Oh the sound effects were badass. For one of the first GBA games, yeah!

I cannot say the same for the music, however.

Of course it's easier, SnS 3 has free play Image

Your baseless statements (if you can call them statements, even) fail to convince me that you aren't actually creditfeeding, considering seasoned players can get to 3-2 or 4-1 on the first credit of SnS 2 on the first try but have to put in three to five times the amount of time to get to the same points in SnS 3 coherently on the first credit (invisible walls in stage 3 and literal bullet walls and actual patterns in stage 4, fun!)

edit: also, on the first credit means the last digit on your score is 0, not 1

I swear you're not getting it.

People find TF IV easier than others (I find it hard). I find SnS3 much easier than two. And stop saying that I credit feed, you're pissing me off because that's not true period. And why you keep saying Free Play? If you don't credit feed you don't care if it has free play or not.

My goodness Twiddle, do you have a job or something?

Very rare.

Hyper Duel is one, and maybe that's it.

Mania shooters I never credit feed because that's a waste of time.

Now if you claim that I credit feed in all shmups then you must be mistaken.
Twiddle wrote:and whether i have a job or not is irrelevant to you spouting fabrications and conflicting infromation
Fabrications, lol.

What about is it you that's having problems with SnS3.

I said enough in the matter. Keep saying the information over and over is not going to change your opinion because you think I'm "scum." And by saying "scum" you're not really a good person and I'm very disappointed in that. :(

your scores for sns3 and sns2 are suspiciously absent from http://shmups.system11.org/viewforum.php?f=2

surprisingly i don't have that much of a problem with sns 3 because it had the right kind of challenge (getting to the lamp nodes that made the walls visible in stage 3 was a complete blast) when i was still playing it

in comparison to sns 2 which was absolutely effortless as i had no problem getting to the boss of 4-2 on my second try and i think i had to do the same amount of moving my player avatar as a touhou game

there are well-founded reasons why you are objectively scum (and for those very reasons you are still allowed to post in these forums just for the comedy value obtained from such, keep it up!), though those are irrelevant to the content in this thread and your arguments in it

Scum is a horrible thing to call someone, it must've upset your noble sensibilities.

On Topic: TF's popcorn explosion SFX are very pleasingu.

Your sense of humor is disgusted and being a person (you) who like to start spam wars clearly has a problem.

Talking about bad things to other members all time is asking for bad luck on your part.
