Hershey Park

Post by BrianC »

I was at Hershey Park yesterday and I had a blast. I loved riding on roller coasters, visiting the zoo, playing video games, and checking out Hershey's Chocolate Works. The zoo has a lot of cute animals. I loved seeing the little pack rat peek out of its hole (forgot the actual name).

The arcade I went to at Hershey Park rocks. It has a whole section devoted to classic arcade games. I played some Marble Madness, Shinobi, Discs of Tron, Double Dragon, After Burner II, Track and Field, 1942, and Monaco GP. After Burner II was in an extremely cool After Burner 1 sit down cabinet that moves. The only shooters there were Heavy Unit and 1942, but the game selection does rock. Too bad Q*Bert's Qubes wasn't working. :(

I loved Chocolate Works too. The dessert I had at Kitkat Cafe was delicious. Triple chocolate valcano cake with vanilla ice cream and heath bar and carmel topping. I also bought some candy at Chocolate works. The prices at Chocolate Works are reasonable and not overpriced like the candy machines in the park.

Sounds like a "Sugar Stomach Ache" to me.

I went to Hershey Park for the first time last year. I was quite impressed with the park. I was also pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Hershey Park arcade. There were a lot of great games in very good condition. Playing Afterburner II after so many years brought back some great memories. They also had a nice selection of pinball machines as well. I definitely plan on going back again.

Wow, a working Marble Madness cab with a properly working trackball? You lucky dog, its been ages since I have seen one let alone played the classic the way it was intended.

The second trackball seemed to be properly working on Marble Madness, but the first one seemed to move slower than it should. It could have been just me, though. However, since I was playing one player, it was a blast playing with both trackballs.

Last time I went to Hershey Park was...1995, almost exactly 10 years ago in fact. There, I realized that I hated roller coasters and never rode one since...
