Lightning Fighters video review

Post by MrQuan »

I got a new PCB today. There weren't many videos of this game on YouTube so I scratched together a mini review of Lightning Fighters.

I know I'm not too good at it, ok  Gimme a break though I'm new at it and doing a review at the same time :P

Check it here on YouTube:
Lightning Fighters / Trigon - Arcade - Review

Thanks! :)

Not bad of a review.

I like Raiden better than this.

Maybe because of the music, the explosion, and great gameplay.

So love the remix music on the Raiden Project.

I want to get into cabs, but no room. :(

I always review games when I don't know them very well! ;)

More like a "first impressions" video, eh?

Good review, I liked it. That does seem like a pretty cool game, how much did you pay for it?
People I have dealt with successfully: bleem (x2), spazicon, sven666, sparky, iatneH, Dragon1952, kozo, Ghegs

great review mate, i love seeing the players hands in vids.. gives it more of a realistic touch (ok so this wasent exactly a superplay or anything but yeah).

it seems the a good number of videogame fans still have no idea what a review is supposed to be about

i often get people linking to one of my location test reports and saying that: "he gave it a good review" or "pretty scathing review" or whatever. and i mean its obvious that the game in question isnt even out yet, and still those people persist in claiming that i "reviewed it".

but what can you do eh, people just have to be people

Unrelated-to-the-shooting question here, but what programme did you use to add subtitles to the video?

Love the cab btw

It's been awhile but I think one of the main differences between this and Trigon was that Trigon had check points rather than respawn.

I payed $80AUD. I've also bough Slap Fight and OutZone from the same guy :D

Well, I'm no professional journalist or anything, and I don't know the dictionary definition of 'review'. This is just a quick video I threw together, maybe it is more of a first impressions? I gave it a once over and a score, so I'll call it a review.

I can't please everyone! I'm sorry if my ultra-professional 5 minute production didn't make the mark for you. Come on guys, this obviously isn't an in-depth or professional review. Just a quick piece of my opinions and a score, whatever, this was just a bit of fun for me because there weren't many vids about this game on YouTube.

I used Windows Movie Maker (comes with Vista). Yeah the cab's nifty huh, they're called 'Lowboys' popular in Australia back in the day. I have a horizontal one and this vertical one. :)

I prefer Trigon a little more, but this game seriously serves me my ass on a silver platter, not an easy game, but quite fun.

STAGE 9

Post by DEL »

A good first impressions vid MrQuan.

I also have the Lightning Fighters PCB. I played a little bit of it when it was in London's Crystal Rooms arcade, but never really took to it at the time.
However, I played it again earlier this year and really grew to like it. I managed to 1 credit to Stage 8 - 725,710.
My PCB has checkpoints though...?! Yet its not Trigon.

The only thing I want to know about this game is how to do Stage 9 :?:
I talked to Mulletgeezer about Stage 9 and we are both stumped by that stage...

Wow! Well, you won't get much help from me, I'm way behind. I can only 1 credit to stage 4 at my best, but I've only had it for a few days

I'll get back to you in, say, 6 months? then I might be at the same level
