you can beat every no bug score with a bug score with only very few experience and i dont think its fair to sit at place 3 or 4 with bug scores above you. you dont need any skill at all to get 10mill+ scores with the bug activated, but just try to reach an A score without the bug - itll be VERY difficult
about the proof pics: i would also want a proof for someone whose first post is a first place score, but getting 5-6 million in a week is nothing special if youve played other raizing games before and know whats going on.
i DONT want a proof for EVERY score someone posts just because he has improved the score by 100k. yes i do trust the internet omg.
SA mode has infinite lives glitch activated on the bugged version of the PCB. and only 3 lives, on the fixed version of the PCB.
i didnt know about this. can someone (or did someone already?) who has a fixed pcb confirm this?
seriousky though, if you had waited till you bought the game before starting all this, you might have thought differently about it all.
im not getting this at all. why would it change my opinion. it has nothing to do with the actual game.

Even if the bug is triggered, just getting anywhere near 10mil is a feat. When I tested my board, I played on with the bug active and could only get up to 9mil with Lace, a character who can score considerably higher than the others, and that's after dropping a ton of medals on sections I'm unfamiliar with.

Try it and find out. It's a lot harder to do than you think.

what i'm saying is, you aren't basing any of this from your own experience with the game. why do you think a 10+ million with the bug under default settings is easy? it's not. that's why only plasmablood has managed it, and he didn't want to post it; he's far enough ahead as it is.

icarus beat me to it

to get the bug, you're basically talking about no-missing up to the 2nd half of stage 5, with good strats and plenty of bullet milking.

i'm getting deja vu now

cause ICR and PlasmaBlooD both got over 9mill without trying too much??

Correct. And agreed. This argument is going nowhere.
Also, Plasmo, if triggering the bug was so easy as is claimed, why aren't we seeing more players do it? So far only one player has done it, and he's been playing it for months.

that doesnt matter. i know that it is difficult to activate the bug but once youve done it, the rest a walk in the park.
it cant be compared to properly playing the game without the bug and thats why I think we need seperate tables.

okay, i thought he said he did, but fair enough. maybe it was lost in translation or something.

so nobody has triggered the bug under default settings. so it's not like they need to be split between bug and non-bug. at least not in the near future.

That's not the point at all. You of all people should know that even if a stage or two is made easier by the presence of infinite lives, you still have to be able to score consistently and score well to reach a certain score. The difference between a nub who triggers the bug by accident and an expert who does it each and every time is how well one player can pointsqueeze compared to the other.

But whatever. Apparently no one on the forum has done it on defaults yet, so having a thread dedicated to bug scores and one without is moot and a little pointless.

Also, agreeing with Dave_K. here, stop bickering and start playing. Put your money where your mouths are and show us those l33t skillz. I'll be on it tonight after I wrap up scanlation work.

exactly. my shasta score and plasmablood's lace score, after using the bug and 1mill extends, were both about 12 million short of their respective world records.

not that i've said this before or anything...

thinking about it again, its actually not that much of a prob, since, as you said, itll take some time before someone posts a bug score.i think ill change that rule in my thread now and allow bug scores.
the main reason for the second thread is the lack of seperate character tables in this one. and there obviously was enough demand for them. im not very satisfied with having two threads and id be happy if theres another solution...:?

well, like i say, i'm happy to do separate tables. all people have to do is reset their scoreboards every once in a while, and post pics

i might have a little play around with the presentation of it. but basically, we now have 10 places available fo each ship type, an overal top 10, 10 places for SA mode, and 10 places fo harder mode. bugged scores will be listed as having used the bug as and when that happens, ie jpj - 10,000,000 - ALL - shasta (bug). and when the overall top 10 ever becomes majority bug scores, they will probably be separated into another table again.

ok one question about SA:
im playing with Lace and it seems that i cant destroy the second midboss with her thunderbolt attack (shot). do i have to kill her only using the rose cracker or whats the strategy here?
