The rank gets noticeably hard about halfway through stage 4. If you can handle that (there's tons of slowdown) it shouldn't be too hard. I've never gotten past the boss, but have played my limited amount of credits of pretty strung out periods of time: A strategy that got me a Futari 1CC in a mere... uh... 8 months.

I don't find Stage 4 to be hard really. I was rocking the pork gold and had 4 lives in stock through the second half of stage 4, and it was pretty much a breeze. The boss was hard though, I died twice there. Stage 5 got a bit hard towards the middle through to the end, but still not really "hard". I think part of the difficulty was just that I had never been to Stage 5 before and I didn't know what the heck was going to come at me every two seconds. I got to the last boss with 2 spare lives and a full bomb stock, but couldn't quite take down that last form.

BTW, definitely try playing with Rafute. I find her much easier to use than Momo or Ikuo. She's quick and it's a lot easier for me to dodge bullets with her.

I only had time to play two credits today. Got this score on the second credit, but I really pissed away an easy 1CC:

101,010,960 - EOJ - Stage 5 - Rafute

Got to the last form of the last boss again, I had two spare lives going into the fight, and picked up another extend during the fight as I passed 100mil. I died accidentally by touching the boss's ship, then pissed away the other two ramming into insta-death lasers.

I really need to watch a vid of that boss again to study the patterns.

I kept the medals at 10K from the middle of stage 1 all the way until the end.

Here's a Harahara Mode score. Maybe we could make a new table for these?

HARAHARA MODE
37,267,770 - EOJ - Stage 4 - Momo

Man, the bullet patterns on the bosses in Harahara are *gorgeous*. Especially the Stage 2 boss. Some crazy multicolored balls filling the screen. Reminds me of Mushi Futari's Ultra mode!

This mode is harder than DDP:DOJ's first loop. Those looking for a challenge, look no further!

121,193,410 - EOJ - ALL - Rafute

I actually finished with 2 spare lives left.

Took me a week to 1CC it, but I only played a couple credits during the weekdays, so more like 4-5 days. That's my fastest Cave 1CC ever. Probably the easiest as well.

Anyway, I guess I'll try 1CCing it with the other characters next, then improve my scores. I nearly 1CC'd it with Momo this morning.

I've gotten that extend like once. It doesn't matter really, it's pretty much a worthless extend. All the superplay vids out there show the players skipping it as well.

Got the 1CC with Ikuo today and improved my overall score:

Up next is the Momo 1CC.

More proof of how easy this game is: I got to the last form of the last boss with 2 spare lives, and because this form is so easy once you memorize the pattern, I just died twice because I was bored and wanted the fight to be a little more intense (since you get no life bonus at the end of this game).

Anyway, come on guys! Why aren't there more 1CCs from the people who own it or have regular access to it??
