V Posi & H Posi -- move the picture up, down, left, right
V Size & H Size -- stretch or compress the picture
V Scan Auto/Normal -- (I think) defaults to factory settings, if you made any adjustments using the above functions.
Scan Over/under - in overscan, the picture takes up the whole screen and the 4 edges of the screen are not shown. The underscan is the opposite.
I have no idea what rest of this stuff does, as mine doesn't have this on the remote.

I would say no, I mean the raster controls (changing the picture's position, width, and height, and the scan select) should be adjustable on video and RGB modes. It would be kind of lame for professional monitor if it couldn't. Are you using the remote control? Maybe the remote needs cleaning inside. Also are there dip switches in the back of the monitor? On my 4PG monitor, it has dip switches that can enable/disable certain functions.Alien Soldier wrote:Thank you very much,
I actualy use the S-Video input because I don't have any RGS cable yet and all these buttons don't seems to do anything with the screen at all. I mean i turn them min and max and nothing happens with the image, is it normal ?

The remote don't work. It seems to be for another bigger monitor, the XC-3725C
I'll open the panel and check inside if everything is OK, I really don't know who owned this and what he did with it. The Posi, Size and Scan buttons are probably disconnected or broken inside. Any help will be very appreciated.
Thanks for letting me know, feel better now. There is a DB-9 plug on the back with TTL written at the bottom, do you know the pinout for it ?neorichieb1971 wrote:Some monitors controls only work in digital mode. Someone explained it once for my PVM2950. I think for those controls to work you have to be in TTL mode, which is a sort of CGA mode (archaic video signal used in the early 90's).
Since your using Svideo connections, it won't work. Your sending it the wrong kind of video signal. I admire your enthusiasm, but don't get buzzed in there
I'll get a Component Y,Pr,Pb/S-Video/Composite/RGB supergun (all together with j-rok encoder), do I still need a XRGB2 ?neorichieb1971 wrote:If you want just plug a DC or PC into the monitor and check the access of the controls in question. That DB9 is most certainly just a standard VGA type input so will work with anything.
A supergun is not going to output the right signal you need to access those controls. You will need an XRGB2 for that..
Wow, thanks for the info, I'll try to mod my VGA cable when I'll get itDave_K. wrote:I've hacked my DC-VGA box to output both 31khz and 15khz via the VGA port.
I also have a spare VGA to 5-BNC cable.
PM me if you want to buy the cable. I can also hack your DC-VGA box for a small fee if you send it to me. Otherwise see my tips page on BYOAC (http://arcadecontrols.com/arcade_consoles.shtml).
