White japanese saturn with round buttons --> chippable?

You can't really tell just from the case style. I've been told that some "round button" Saturns even have the 20-pin cable.

what he said is true, but it more than likely has a 32 pin ic. Go to jandaman, or racket boy and check out install pics. Also go to Sega Xtreme for more info.

If its model 1 japanese, its not white. its grey.

just fyi, white ones can be modded. i have a white model modded.

model 1 saturns can also be chipped. WAY back in the day, there were chips specifially produced for them. and today, you can use chips that are intended for a round button model, but it going to need some heavy modification.

be cautious buying modded consoles that you dont have some type of proof of beforehand.

i tried to mod my saturn with one of those chips, you need to be handy with a solder (i tried to just tape mine on, it didnt work) and i wasnt going to try soldering it :oops:

HST-0004 is the model # for a model 1 grey Saturn.
