Who's got any interesting snippets of info/stories/history about Zuntata they want to tell me for an article I'm compiling?
It'll be about the F2-F3 arcade hardware period, so Darius Gaiden, Rayforce, Metal Black, that kind of thing. Ta

Will do.
Where's Ranodorama when I need him
Perhaps someone out there knows which Taito game is the first to credit 'Zuntata' for sound?

The first game where Zuntata are credited is Darius (1987).

Zuntata at least remixed Rastan's music, as well, for a 1992 soundtrack version (which I've been wanting for a few years).

Legend of Kage (1984 or '85?) had OGR doing the BGM. This is the first game I recall having any Zuntata member doing its soundtrack.
Having started with them in 1983, OGR is IIRC still with Taito and has done the Zoids Infinity soundtrack.
Kinect? KIN NOT.

I just looked at this . . Jeez, there sure is an awful lot of Darius swag out there. It must have a serious cult following in Japan. It was nice to see Zuntata but they sure aren't a very exciting live act. I think it's because it sounds almost the same as the original recording. Now I understand why Tangerine Dream plays mostly new material at concerts.

Hi Ed
You're the HDB guy right? Just to say contrary to your link to DAM on your site, the website isn't dead, I'm still doing the odd update when I get time
Kudos to HDB for finally realising a project I'd been meaning to do on DAM for years though.. the entire Darius Gaiden boss visual walkthrough. Great work

I wish there was an official soundtrack for Megablast, or some kind of remix/live track somewhere. The music in that game owns.

"Zuntata" is an onomathopeic word for some rythm, maybe of gagaku ( court japanese music). What exactly you need to know, Mike?
"The only desire the Culture could not satisfy from within itself was one common to both the descendants of its original human stock and the machines [...]: the urge not to feel useless."
