PS2 MadCatz RetroCON controller?...

I saw this controller at a GameStop, and the D-Pad looks pretty comfortable for shmupping. Any opinions on this controller?

I own one, in practise the D pad and buttons felt a little unresponsive to me. I went back to a Dualshock pretty quickly. I can dig it out again and give it a second opinion if you like, it's probably in the "box of random cables and stuff" that lives in the cupboard under the stairs.
