When I played the battle garegga demo on my soukyugurentai saturn disk a long time ago, I remember that all the bullets were "bullets", but on MAME and on my PCB, some are "bullets" but most are yellow dots.
Is there a pcb version that matches my fuzzy memory?
Battle Garegga versions?

There are two basic versions of the arcade Battle Garegga, the original and the "New Version" (sometimes called "Type 2"). In MAME, the sets with a Feburary 3 date are original and the others are new. I've noticed several ways in which the New Version is different:
* Rank is more forgiving.
* Many enemy shots are bright balls instead of gray bullets.
* Stages 4 and 5 were swapped.
* The codes for the second loop, increased difficulty, and second loop + increased difficulty no longer work.
* Stage edit doesn't work.
Also, in every region other than Japan extends can only be set to every 2 million points or turned off entirely, regardless of whether it's the original or new version. In the Japanese original version extends can be set to be given every 1 million points or at 1 million and 2 million. I can't check right now to see how it is in the Japanese new version...
For even more Garagga options, with cheat.dat you can set rank to always stay at the lowest (wimp!) or turn on a rank indicator.
