Just got my systems back

Post by lawnspic »

Well i just got my systems back from Davebere and could not be more pleased. He did a great job on my V15 and my friends V4. I thought i would share this because there are guys here using swap magic and having problems. SM is not 100% compatible with all import games, so this is the best solution to playing without the hassle of swapping discs.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I ordered the disks for now, only $15 (split two ways), so I figured it's worth a shot. If I run into any problems, I'll be sure to look that guy up.
I got mad gigabytes.

i have to note that those points on the V15 are small and this mod is no easy feat, Dave is a soldering god and is very professional. I dont mean to put this guy on a pedastool but im a good modder and this was slightly out of my league. So i have to pay respect. This is the ultimate solution to your shmupping needs. Also you can see all his work with the links provided

So does this Davebere actually provide a mod chip installation service? Do you have a website for him with any info (fees, shipping, etc). I've been looking into Swap Magic 3 and installing a new flip top instead of the tool set. I don't care about my warranty because my PS2 slim model is two years old already.

Dont mind the end of the thread it was spammed, also check out my link to Team Modders he is there as well. His contact info is in the link provided. Please dont ask any dumb questions as he will ignore it. Dave is the best modder in the community, Period! Trust me you will be happy, and he is reasonably priced. Figure for the chip and install will run you under 100. Good luck

Also if you have a V12-14 get the DMS4pro, it had HDD support

I should have been more clear, when the slimline came out there was no port to connect a HDD. If you use a DMS4pro it will alow you to use HD connect or HDcombo. I would opt for the later. Now i just had my V15 done which is the latest revision of the slimline Ps2 and i cant get HDD support. Sony i guess foiled that plan or because of the hardware change it was not possible anymore. So i got the Matrix Infinity which is a very good chip, and second to none to the DMS minus the HDD support. There is also the Crystal chip. I dont know much about it, but it seems to be good. These three chips are what Dave stocks. If i had a V15 then Matrix for sure, any other DMS4proSE

Let me explain the beauty.

A open lid

B insert disc

C Hit power

D Gaming heaven (without killing system or disc, and also having a Davebere original to boot which is like having a rare piece of art because of his talent)

Sorry im a geek when it comes to soldering and electronics, i really admire his work

I too have purchased a modded PS2 from Davbere(a slim PS2 w/ Matrix Infinity). Everything went smooth and I'm very happy with my PS2. I've actually been thinking of purchasing another one to keep as a backup. I recommend Davbere as well. :)

Sorry to bring this thread back, but I've been wondering whats happened to teammodders. There website has been down for a while, so I'm just curious. If the site had to be shut down, is there any other way I could get in contact with him about modding a PS2, that is if he even still does it? Thanks for the help.

I think Dave still does mods for all the latest systems at the moment even stuff like the PS2. He modded a Slim PS2 for a friend around June/July. He lives an hour away from me so I was able to drop it off and get it done within one hour.

I think I have his contact information at home so I will see if I can find it. If you add that e-mail that was posted on this thread on Yahoo! Messenger he goes on there from time to time. I talked to him a few times on there recently.

Thanks for the info one Dave. I won't be able to buy a PS2 for a while, but when I finally can I'll refer back to this thread.

I talked to Dave last night and he said that he still does the install for $45 but he doesn't supply the mod chip anymore. I guess this has to do with the latest crack down on mod chip sellers.

He said he would do the labor but you just need to give him the PS2 with the mod chip of your choice.
