STGT 2k7- Week #5 GigaWing
We want proof for that insane score !

(edit --> joke failure : I first thought Sik' sceencap was a "random score post" like, because I didn't exactly know what a good 1st stage score is, and thougt it was a "random screenshot" that's why I asking for proof was supposed to be a joke. Forget it...).

You can get higher than what I got on the 1st stage. It's just because I killed the boss fairly early that I have a higher score on the 1st stage than what HDK gets (great scoring system, once again). It's nothing impressive. A higher multiplier is more important than the first stage's score. My multiplier was around 56xxxxx on that run I think (not home), a lot less than HDK's 78xxxxx or whatever it is. HDK's run isn't that close to the world record anyway.
Nice job on your score, javel.

GW ranks fourth for effort I've put into Takumi games. I used to not like it much, but warmed up to it in anticipation of Giga Wing Generations. I don't have any remaining interest in the STGT aside from the fact people are talking about GW. That is cool.Icarus wrote: Besides, isn't this your game? Where's your top-table score?
I'll make much needed improvements in GW when I feel motivated to put in some effort but Mars Matrix comes first in line. I look forward to seeing how well everyone will do.

HAEUAHEUAHHAEHUAHA , I 1cced the game! I didn't believe it when I saw the last boss blowing up! I really went into a histerical laughter
here's my score
Shatterhand - Pele Shooting Team - 28,7869,61913510 - ALL - Ruby - Mame
Yeah, the score sucks, whatever. I had played this game a lot before, had never got past level 6. Today I reached the last boss for the first time, gave him some save state practicing, and presto, it was beaten. 0 lives and 0 bombs, to add to the drama.
But from level 5 onwards, I am the biggest coward ever. I use the shield as a BOMB, I use it to save my ass, screw medalling! My battle against the last boss is hilarious, as I use bombs to give time for my shield to reload. Amazing, I should record it. Alas, I should record me playing the whole game, just to make a video "How to NOT play Gigawing".
But one thing I find funny is how I actually CAN dodge the patterns on this game. They look a *LOT* more scary than your usual Cave pattern, and while Cave games always kick my ass, here I can fly through bullets like I am fucking Icarus or something. Many times I just didn' believe it, I was like "WTF, AM I DOING THIS FOR REAL?". I should really record myself playing just to amuse myself.
Not even in GWG I can "flow" so well between the bullets. I just don't know what happens, maybe the hitbox here is smaller than what I am used (it didn't seem so), or the 4:3 aspect help my bullet dodging...
Best STGT game... ever!
Now time to practice something useful... SCORING.
P.S. sorry for any typos, I am still using my TV and I can barely see what I am typing.
Edit: The funniest thing is me exchanging tips with my teamates. "Shatterhand, do you have any tips?" "No, I don't have the slightest idea of what I am doing most of the time. I just reflect the bullets when there are too many of them on screen, and try to grab medals. And then I shoot everything at my sight" . Heh

Nice work Shatterhand, I believe before dead line, our team makes a great high scores.
I will use a telescope to use your technique to fly through the bullets and to hear a Iron Maiden`s songs to inspirate me, songs like Aces High and Flight of the Icarus. It`s the just mode to I can make a better score.
GO PELÉ SHOOTING TEAM!
