San Jose arcade monitor repair services?

Post by mobichan »

Hey All,

I got an awesome New Astro City cab from Matsu recently. Last night I decided to go TATE with the monitor to try out my ESParade board, but for some reason the "blue" component of the monitor's RGB is now not working. I suspect a wire came loose when I rotated the monitor, but I really have no clue what is going on. The adjustment knob for the "blue" component is also not working (the knob under the control panel).

I am a complete newbie when it comes to the hardware side of cabinet ownership, so I was hoping someone might know of a repair service that makes housecalls in the San Jose/East Bay area.

yeah, I tried 2 other boards (both of which I had been playing before rotating the monitor) and they worked fine. After the missing blue problem occurred, I tried the other boards again and they had the same problem. This lead me to beleive it wasn't the PCB's.

maybe I can take a look at it for you. Im in the bay area and I do a lot of monitor repair work. I also have a spare chassis for that cab (nanao ms8-29) that I could possibly sell you if you end up needing to replace the entire thing (which I doubt). Drop me a PM if you are interested.
