Free copy of PSX Soukyugurentai

Post by Neon »

Forum member (and excellent trader) beatifik very generously gave this game to me a few weeks ago. Kept it in nice shape too, it has the spinecard, etc.

However, the game is not my cup of tea. Since it was a gift, I'd feel like an arse selling it, but since it's a quasi-rare import and never gets any playtime I feel like an arse for hoarding it as well.

So post here if you want it. I'll find a way to randomize the name selection (can anyone recommend a freeware prog as I wouldn't want to print them all out). And keep it HONEST, don't post if you have the game, plan on turning around and selling it, etc. please.

I haven't played the game, and I'd be silly to pass up on a free shooter. And hey, if the game doesn't do it for me I could probably just give it to someone else on the forums.

well, you can check the souky threads (like the highscore one) to see that i had this game, lost it, then want it again.
im probably one of the few individuals that would prefer getting the psx version over the sat one, because of the whole "extra hard mode of doom" thing.

so you can give it to me, or not, dont feel too much like begging tho :p, i just hope it doesnt end in the hands of someone who'll resell it.

That's cool...you seem to love the game, judging by your posts in other threads, I can understand wanting a new 'angle' on one of your favourites.

Its more of a love/hate relationship at the moment. I honestly think this game should go to a souky virgin, I need to leave souky alone for a few months :) I get too frustrated when i doss up early on to enjoy it anymore :(

Maybe in a couple months I'll be able to enjoy it with a fresh perspective.

I haven't played the game and my shmup library is small at the moment.
I'm a passionate though and I'm trying to become the greatest shmup collector in all of Iceland.

I might like to give this game a try. This is a Raizing shmup right? I haven't played anything from Raizing and this sounds like a good introduction to them.

Oh, add me to the list too. I've never played this game. (And yes I can play imports.)

Very nice of you to do that, Neon. And if you ever end up wanting it again you can always rebuy it. The superior Saturn rev has better textures of course so there's your incentive there if ya ever have regrets.

I'd be tempted to own the PSX too for the extra fighter, too bad I have heard many times that it's kind of an over-powered cheap ship.

See people...this is proof that Shmups.com is the nicest/best-est/coolest forum on the whole planet!! I think I'm going to cry some tears of joy now...

BTW: No thanks Neon, I already have the Sega Saturn version, which I clearly think is the better version anyway.

Heh, no need for praise/reasons fellas, I promise this will be totally random :).

The real praise should go to beatifik, sold me Gunbird 2 on the cheap and threw in this game for free. Guy is cool as fuck and a solid trader.

So so far it's Shearie, uwfan, iatneH, highland cattle, arromdee, BrianC, Nuke, Dewclaw, vagrant, and MrMonkeyMan. Correct?

Yea, watch out Neon...there might be some serious "brown nosing" going on here.

We should hold a Gladiator tournament.

Winner/Survivor gets the Souky Souky.

I really hope MrMonkeyMan gets the game, doesn't like it, and gives it away in a whole new thread. We could pass the game around, share it with the whole community. It'd be a bonding experience.

PS - Don't include me. I'm not a big fan of Souky, and I don't have a PlayStation.

You do like Donpachi don't you? Good enough reason to get a PSX right there.

Everyone start sending Neon baskets of mini-muffins, ala that Friends episode with Ross trying to get the apartment.

Seriously though, it's very nice for you to do that Neon. But I am not participating in the drawing.

I'll throw in a ticket for myself too...
I only have a small PS1 collection that could do with a biggie like this game, but unfortunately this means there won't be any chance of me letting go of it in the case I get the draw... sorry guys :(

Thanks to Neon and beatifik, and good luck to you all!

alpha5099, I was actually thinking about doing something like that a while ago, but I'd feel as if I was whoring out my games, passing them around... plus in the event that it doesn't make it back to my hands I'd be pretty pissed.

Maybe I'd just do it with bubble envelopes, and each forum member that gets it, signs and uses it for the next trade...

When are you giving away a free copy of Radiant Silvergun?
