Mostly Mushihmesama. I can regularly make it to level 4 on Maniac now. I hate that damn 3rd boss though.

I'm also playing Parodius Da a bit, which is a bad idea, because Mushi and Parodius are two completely different games, and god do I currently suck at Parodius. I'm lucky if I can make it past the third level.

Back to the bitch that is DOJ. I am determined to get back on that hi-score board!

I just completed a run where I had 125mil at the end of stage 4, a personal best, then choked and lost my 2 remaining lives before the first mid-boss of stage 5 (where you can get some major points).

Some Guwange today.

Yet another Cave title that I love playing, but dont even bother TRYING to play for score due to my undying hatred of chaining-systems.

And some of DDP:DOJ's Death Label, which I DO play for score, no stupid chaining in THAT mode, lol.

And finally, lately tryin reeaaaallllll hard to finally beat Mushihime-sama's Arrange mode.

I got that damn TLB down to like half an inch of health yesterday, and then went splat.....

Argh!

Mushihimesama is currently what i am playing, i can nearly 1cc arrange mode but the true last boss is far too hard for my liking (got it down to less than half health but no more)

was thinking of going back to raiden 3 for a while

DDP:DOJ Death Label tonight.

I FINALLY got to try and fight the dual Hibachi heads at the very end.

And HOLY FUNKY CRAP are they ever INSANE.

And here I thought that the TLB at the end of Mushi's Arrange was hard enough..... doesnt compare at all to this thing.

I didnt get to the part with the dual tornadoes of SPLAT, though. I died at the part where they spin those twin lines of blue and pink at you, wondering "Ok, HOW do you deal with that?"

I mighta gotten a little further if I hadnt wasted a life on Hibachi's very first attack by immediately crashing into the first blue laser he fired

I've been playing a lot of Guwange lately. In fact, I just 1cc'ed it!

Stage 6 is so annoying, it's way harder than the final boss. :I

Next hopefully is ESP Galuda 2... I can make it to the final boss on 1cc but still can't quite clear it.

Also been playing Raiden Fighters Jet and Gigawing lately. Gotta get some variety in. :)

I have been constantly dreaming about playing Mushi Futari, and I really want that game. Therefore, I decided to go and play Parodius on SNES
That's my most played game of this week.

I am really eager to get back to IO for C64, but I can't rebuild the C64 just for that. I don't even have it anymore :d But the longer I am without that game and the more I realize that everybody should need a badass game like that at least once a month.
Alas, Ikaruga is going...

Undesired, unwanted them...
What makes them go?

I'm currently focusing on Progear, because it always bothered me that I died on the 2nd stage. That, and it seems awfully overlooked and too cool to pass up. I've never played a game consistently for longer than a week, so I'd like to see where I can go with it.

The thing I like about Guwange is that, unless you know Japanese, it takes some effort to know what you scored, so it's easy to ignore how many times you've broken your chain. :P

I hate chain systems but I still like Guwange's, it's just way more interesting than anything like DDP, and really it's not hard to keep a chain going at all. You basically have to be asleep at the controller to drop it in stages 1-3 (or just make a really bad mistake anyway). There's only a few points I'd say are really difficult to keep it going... mainly any time those scythe throwing winged things show up in Stage 4, right before the boss in stage 5, and at a few points in Stage 6 because fuck that stage.

Of course the game is exponentially easier if you just ignore the chaining system altogether, see as how Rank is directly tied to how big your chain is.
