Not an option if you don't have like $10 or something.

Dreamcasts are cheap, and you are missing access to some really great shooters by not having one.

INDEED.

Under Defeat and Border Down make the purchase more than worthwhile if your a shmupfan.

Its also a great buy if your into the cheaper priced, arcade perfect ports of fighters like MVC2, CVS2, Mark of the Wolves & 3rd Strike.

Um...now back to topic. 8)

Under Defeat and Border Down are also two of the more expensive shmups on the system. There are others available like Mars Matrix and Gunbird 2 that run a bit cheaper.

Mark of the Wolves and 3rd Strike aren't arcade perfect. MVC2 is very close, though.

True, but they aren't bad ports either. They may not be 'perfect' per say, but we're talking about the level of deviation where you could conceivably play either game without realizing they weren't the arcade versions.

Anyway, yeah, not owning a DC is absurd--I mean, how are you supposed to go play mars matrix and those gigawangs?

picky, picky...simple variations between arcade cabinets and your television don't count. If you buy a decent stick, they're pretty dam close...I even find the sound superior if you own a decent home theater.

I still say DC is the better way to go than buying cabs or getting the overpriced PS2 version.
