This is one of those topics where at some point every horizontal shmup ever made will be mentioned, and it won't make sense anymore.
I'll add Cotton Boomerang here just for the sake of it

Parodius series isn't arcade only. The arcade ones have some nice home ports. There isn't a single arcade Parodius game that doesn't have a port. Jikkyou and the original are console only.

SideArms was ported to the TG-16/PCE and is also in Capcom Classics v. 2 PS2/Xbox. As mentioned UN Squadron is on SNES.

Mystic Riders is one of the best.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

Do you consider NG shooters as arcade-only? If not, there's plenty of goodies there.
Otherwise, Macross II is a very solid horizontal shooter, disguised by its anime origins. I'm surprised there hasn't been any mention of Xexex yet...

This is why Xexex has not been mentioned yet.
There's a bonus level in one of the Goemon games for SNES.

Darius. And no, it's never been ported because, even if the software *has*, and I'm unaware of it, the "multi-monitorness" of it just can't be duplicated.
The winner is me.

How about you taking a quick look at 'Taito Memories 2 The First' for PS2 ?
You can either zoom the screen or choose to have all 3 all together cramp onto your TV. It does look ok on a big enough TV.
