Thanks K. I could not believe the numbers after that run. I also could not believe I made it to Discharge, boy is he tough.

Oh and once you get the hang of em, you will be tearing up Raizing games like Cave games in no time.

Good score Ayanami. Discharge is only hard when he's ranked up. The second form's rotating arms spew lasers after it dies when its ranked up (this always takes a life off me :? ). The final form is busy as Hell if its ranked up too.
When I get back to this game I'll be sticking to Advance with a Team. The problem is that the Rank is always through the roof on Stage 9 when you've made your way there with a team. Suiciding doesn't even help, because a Team game is considerably longer and the rank increases with play time (& other factors). I mentioned this before, but the rank was so bad on Stage 9 that the display was flickering on and off due to the sheer amount of bullets the game was trying to throw at me  . I didn't even reach Discharge on that run.

Ayanami - You might want to practice Discharge by playing the Special Course. I found it useful.

Scores updated. Yupyup.
Grats on the letter score, Ayanami. With Maria too.

Quite surprised to see Batrider getting some sporadic activity. Nice to see people finally getting to grips with Advanced Course, too.

Skyrandia, if you don't mind, what was the boss you got up to on your Special run? (Also, to all players, if you are playing Special, please note your boss down with your stage in your score posting. Makes it easier to compare runs.)

Sorry about that Icarus,

The boss I got up to on special course was this bastard (Envy)

Image

And also I think you accidentally put my advanced course score in the normal course score list.

I wish my normal course score was as good as this but its not unfortunately :(

If you could fix this that would be great.

You can use most of the tricks you used in Advanced Course in Normal Course since most of the NC stages are easier.
so long and tanks for all the spacefish
unban shw
<Megalixir> now that i know garegga is faggot central i can disregard it entirely
<Megalixir> i'm stuck in a hobby with gays

Yes that is true, but without the gold mine Zenobia City stage in normal course, to achieve 7.7million+ I probably need to do the following

1) unlock almost all the normal course bosses

2) Have a perfect medal run

3) Mamaging a team effectively. (For example not dying with a specific character at certain times otherwise no secret boss or using the right character at the right time for effective boss milking)

It is very hard for me to do all this stuff well in a single run.....

3,778910-charlie chong-stage 5-strawman(c) (batrider a board)

i reckon i can get a better strawman game and i've been practicing a team edit game that will deffo break the 4 million barrier (got in the 34xxxxx score range just after the start of the 4th level before i had 2 stupid deaths
i will probbly be back with more questions but one thing i want to know is what is the difference between a board and b board???
i have set the dips to extend at a million and a half cos its default is a million.

The biggest difference is that you can use the C button in the B version of Batrider. This enables you to more easily change the option formation of the Garrega ships, as well as select the "Shot Power Up, Option Power up, Speed Down" version of characters.

The A version according to the arcadia records list has an infinite score problem. I'm very sure that the B version doesn't so that is a big difference right there.

hmm i can change option formation with c button with garegga characters and select (c) versions of characters.. i have been using strawman (c) most of the time...

havent come accross this infinite scoring thing either...
i'll mebbes try get some eproms to change to the b board anyway tho..

Died at envy, dunno from what? The ship just exploded, very strange. Well, I'm aiming at 9M now. Bashinet2's still a mystery.

Yes, I am. because of some some problems with the supergun... and with the pc joy box, mame works real nice.
But no, I've never experienced any problem with the controls in batrider (using mameplus 0.118u2). No clue about what to do, sorry.

Sheesh that's a big Normal Course score DMC  ! Especially without destroying Envy. You've obviously worked out some extra tactics.
Congratulations.
I expect a 9mil from you now.
