SHMUP with singing in soundtrack?
I remember a SHMUP in a Circle K long ago that had a soundtrack with live singing... I was amazed. It was probably in the early-mid 90's?
Anyone know what I'm talking about? I think it might have been an anime type game.

Go to www.klov.com and check to see...
The first Twin Eagle (Seta 1988) had singing in the music track that plays when you engage in dogfights against jets.
Aero Fighters 3 had two music tracks with voice clips. The boss theme had some guy speaking. I could not make out what he is saying part of the first time, but it goes, "....how've you been? Show me what you've GO-O-O-O-O-O-T-T-T-t-t-t-t!!!!!" The final Mars level had a voice clip that said, "Oh, why does this have to be so damn hard?!"

Unless you are absolutely sure that it was a shmup, perhaps it could be SNK's Psycho Soldier. It fits the criteria of having a vocal soundtrack and being an anime-like game. It's vaguely shooter-like as well (has forced scrolling, just very discretized vertical movement with effects of gravity). Also, it's a 1987 release.
In the first level it has about 2 lines. Really cheesy, but great audio overall in the game.zinger wrote:Didn't Kyuukyoku Tiger II have vocals?
