I've decided to take on Chris Kline's (Vertexguy) version of Dezant from Lords of Thunder.

Give it a listen from here:
http://www.vertexguy.com/music/subcat.htm

It's going to be a monster project, but very worthwhile in the end. There is a lot of cutting and pasting, which makes life a bit easier.......

It will be at least a week before I finish, but I'll post a preview when ready!

That one looked pretty good too. Did you just use vertexguy's audio (as he plays all of the lead guitar stuff) and the overlay that on top of the OST's mp3? Too bad vertexguy didn't mix it with his version of the backing part of the song, it would sound more balanced :?

Those solos look hella fun. I love the 3 fret chords you threw in there. Do you plan on distributing this or keeping it to yourself?

I'll share, just ask! That is assuming you know how to make a custom GH disc, and have a modded ps2..........

You should share the notecharts with the rest of the Scorehero community :)

I will share with those who ask, but I don't want to do it through Scorehero at the moment. Too many rules........

Eight: After reviewing the TF4 track, it has too much synth in it. If I put a song in GH, it has to have strong standout guitar, or else in my opinion it just doesn't sound right. Level 8's music would rock, but I'd need to have a strict guitar cover of it in order to sound good. Then I considered Justice Ray pt. 2, but I don't think it will work for the same reason. Hard rockin, but just too much tech processing.

Raging Deicide from Esprade has a strong standout guitar, if it's not too repetitive.

May I suggest a kick ass guitar driven song. Theme from Jets N Guns. You can download it off of machinae supremacy's site. Its got several solo parts that would be shreding to play. Most of the songs from the Jets N Guns album are great but not all of them have guitar as the prominent instrument.

Roger that, I know all about that.

With that, I wouldn't mind at all if you shared your files with me, your charts look really good. :)

How about using Stage 1 and 2 music from Thunder Cross (Japanese version) and Stages 1, 3, and 7's music from Thunder Cross II for your Guitar Hero shmup?

Responses:

Raging Decide: Sounds too techno.......you sure this is the track you're thinking of?

Jets N Guns: Great suggestion! This one's a good length and would translate well into a GH song, it's probably going to make the cut.

Thundercross:
The only mp3s I found for this are from the Konami Shooting Battle collections. The one I liked was Battles of Battleship, which I might end up doing.

I also decided on Nostalgic (Trigon) from the Konami SB also, it's slower but sounds awesome.

Man, this is a lot of work.........but I keep chipping away a little bit each day..........thanks for the suggestions people!

The first solo on Theme of Jets N Guns is rockin. All those hammer on and pull offs will be so much fun! Thanks for considering it to make the cut!
