Let it be Darius Gaiden then.
Seems better than Gunbird, still has considerably simple scoring, and I'm a sucker for good background music (which DG certainly has).

Must be an English thing. I have no clue what that is.

My Vote: Gunbird!

THIS POST IS A VOTE.

Just to clarify, I'm not voting for Firebird, or Slightly Homosexual Gun-Toting Roosters From Spain, but for Gunbird. GUBNIRD. Sorry, Gunbird.

'Icarus seems to have a large cinder block on his shoulder recently'

I think this would loosely be the American equivalent.

If it won, there would be about 50 scores with an extra digit added somewhere accidentally.

Gunbird said by the Dodonpachi announcer?

It's going to be hilarious if Gunbird wins. Really, I'll be histerically laughing if it wins.

Both Darius Gaiden and Gunbird are enjoyable games IMO, but Gunbird seems to be more straightforward regarding scoring, so it wouldn't be that bad I guess.

I am no fan of Progear, but I think I'd still prefer playing it over Darius Gaiden or Gunbird. Well, whatever, it's all good fun, etc etc etc. At least with Progear I was sure my team would beat the Oldschoolers this week... with either Gunbird or Darius Gaiden it's going to get harder....

Ok, this post ISNT a vote, just saying that now.

An interesting choice of games, this time.

And no "why the hell wont Vista just DO this" games this time either, hah.

That being said, I dunno really what to vote on.

My vote WOULD be for Bakraid, either course, but as it's danged obvious that that one wont be winning, I'd rather vote something different, but I dunno what....

Also, I have to say I agree on the stupidness of the lack of Progear that some have mentioned.

I'll likely end up voting for Gunbird in a bit here, cause I love Psikyo, and I've a feeling Darius will piss me off, but I havent tried Darius yet so I dunno.....

Bah, stupid...... lack of Progear...... *wanders off, mumbling to himself*

Gunbird is a ridiculous choice and you are all silly for considering it.

Ridiculous how? It's not like it has an end bonus that can pretty much double your score (Darius Gaiden).

The fact that it lacks a scoring system at all. Spending a week using the power-down trick and trying to 1CC the game doesn't seem like fun.

No scoring system would be a nice change of pace, actually. Especially with the last two games we've had.

You call "Kill every enemy" a score system?

I agree that we need to catch a break from the kind of stuff we've had so far, but picking a game without a scoring system and then playing it for score will be a recipe for disaster. Or immense boredom.
