I seem to recall from the rules discussion thread that the excitement and hilarity of forum bitching and moaning was deemed more important than the simplicity and fairness of private voting. DJI was one of those proponents, IIRC. A "WTF is up with this week's choices?!?!?" thread would pop up anyway, but at least it would be easier to ignore.

Between the speed and the disco, Feveron will never win. I was pretty shocked that it tied for last place last year, as opposed to being a distant 5th.
