We could gather all the news coming from this show here (?):
-Death Smiles; http://cave-gameshow.cocolog-nifty.com/ ... _bb99.html
-Otodemius;
and perhaps others surprises
I'm actually working on a write up about Deathsmiles from a friend of mine who was at the show earlier today. It seems pretty interesting at least (1 button to shoot left, the other to shoot right, and then a final one for "magic" usage). Its a bit "tame" in his words, but the difficulty did spike towards the third stage.Mills wrote:Would be nice if us european & western shumps (whom dont understand a word of japanese) could see some specific detailed info on what shump titles Cave are presenting for 2008 ie; screen shots, artwork designs. if you can post that stuff, that would be helpful.
I've been posting pretty much everything I can find on my blog.sven666 wrote:besides deathsmiles and that grev shmup.. whats on display??
would be cool to see a more general photoalbum with shots from other booths/games..

When it comes to the Sega published games (Mamonoro and Illvelo), neither were on the Preview shows list.Mills wrote:I wonder if we london shumpers will see any of these titles at either next month PREVIEW 08 Show (at london Novotel/hammersmith) or next january at the big ATEI 08 Show (at london Earls Court). its a shame i cant speak a word of japanese because i could possibly hook up Cave with a uk distributor/operator (ie: Deith Leisure or Electrocoin ltd) and have cave titles on their stands.
so basically, i need to speak with someone at sega europe to make anything happen with Cave games being put on show. well i know where sega uk hq building is so ill start there with my enquiriesRyanDG wrote:When it comes to the Sega published games (Mamonoro and Illvelo), neither were on the Preview shows list.Mills wrote:I wonder if we london shumpers will see any of these titles at either next month PREVIEW 08 Show (at london Novotel/hammersmith) or next january at the big ATEI 08 Show (at london Earls Court). its a shame i cant speak a word of japanese because i could possibly hook up Cave with a uk distributor/operator (ie: Deith Leisure or Electrocoin ltd) and have cave titles on their stands.

Unfortunately not; I think he is saying that even though Sega publish Mamonoro and Illvelo they don't have them on the UK list...Mills wrote:so basically, i need to speak with someone at sega europe to make anything happen with Cave games being put on show. well i know where sega uk hq building is so ill start there with my enquiriesRyanDG wrote:When it comes to the Sega published games (Mamonoro and Illvelo), neither were on the Preview shows list.Mills wrote:I wonder if we london shumpers will see any of these titles at either next month PREVIEW 08 Show (at london Novotel/hammersmith) or next january at the big ATEI 08 Show (at london Earls Court). its a shame i cant speak a word of japanese because i could possibly hook up Cave with a uk distributor/operator (ie: Deith Leisure or Electrocoin ltd) and have cave titles on their stands.
Still worth a try.ill6 wrote:Unfortunately not; I think he is saying that even though Sega publish Mamonoro and Illvelo they don't have them on the UK list...Mills wrote:so basically, i need to speak with someone at sega europe to make anything happen with Cave games being put on show. well i know where sega uk hq building is so ill start there with my enquiriesRyanDG wrote: When it comes to the Sega published games (Mamonoro and Illvelo), neither were on the Preview shows list.
Cave is distrbuted by AMI in Japan but they don't seem to distribute in the west - who would they sell to thats the thing? There are so few arcades over here.
My thoughts exactly. we have Raiden4 at london/trocadero with a few older shumps titles. if the sega route fails, ill try Deith Leisure (coin up distributor) as i know Mr Leon Deith from way back when i tested a shump title for the pc marketDJ Rectal Prolapse wrote:Still worth a try.ill6 wrote:Unfortunately not; I think he is saying that even though Sega publish Mamonoro and Illvelo they don't have them on the UK list...Mills wrote:so basically, i need to speak with someone at sega europe to make anything happen with Cave games being put on show. well i know where sega uk hq building is so ill start there with my enquiries

Sega have some cool arcades in London.

Do they have Raiden IV at Troc? Must have missed it last time, amid all the Filipino kids shouting at my girlfriend. But anyway, thanks for your pro-activity in trying to get new Japanese STG's into London!Mills wrote:My thoughts exactly. we have Raiden4 at london/trocadero with a few older shumps titles. if the sega route fails, ill try Deith Leisure (coin up distributor) as i know Mr Leon Deith from way back when i tested a shump title for the pc market
