So it's a ground-based and uses a charge meter for the bombs. While not quite on par graphically with Ikaruga or UD, it does look pretty good (nice use of colour).

Is that manual scrolling I see? Starting to look more like Twinkle Tale or something.

Never played Twinkle Tale, but agree it looks to me like the ground part has manual vertical scrolling where your character can't go above mid-screen. This is looking very cool.

Plus one.

Yeah, it´s all about how it plays, but it looks as exciting as Gunbird 1.

Sorry, was trying to make a stupid point. Thats because you played batrider. You haven't played this new GRev game, so you have no idea how detailed things really are by simply looking at a few screen shots.

For the record, I've had more than one person make this comment to me about older raizing games. Of course I took serious offense.

Looks like Shikigami no Shiro 1, even the HUD looks similar.
How come? G.Rev's game have always been graphical emperors.

Apparently there's a starting limited amount of time you can play before your character croaks it, and using the charge shot to score + completing stages extends it.

Kind of disappointed that there aren't any fast patterns or anything :?

Mihara posted some impressions from this game, he said (politely) that for the time being he'll reserve judgement on it as so far it has not impressed him. He hopes Gulti get it together and make the game good, basically.

He also said the graphics/atmosphere remind him of Kiki Kaikai for some reason.

Great, if no one likes it I can buy it!
I'm DEFINATELY getting the Kiki KaiKai vibe, here. Walking through the arches (the first thing you do in kkkk is walk through an arch!) and the lines of enemies that appear onscreen...
Thankfully you dont have a multidirectional shot (I'm assuming.)

It's got a Wafuu theme (but w/ some twists, according to Arcadia).

The graphics are totally retarded, but this looks like huge fun regardless. Good to finally see a new manual (in parts) scrolling action game (even though its still only shooting upwards)

I've gotta say I'm disappointed with these first glimpse vids. Where is the action? Where is the interesting design? And why are the bullets moving at moped speed? It appears the characters are perfectly aligned with the game's target audience.

best plan of attack -- take a year of loke tests like Raiden IV.

though this pic looks deceptively awesome

That seemed to help a lot -- the various replay vids I've seen made it look like a great game.

Release date is set - late July

OP - 178,000 Yen (186,900 w/tax)

The final loke tests were in May. Hopefully well improved from it's first appearance last year. :)
Barely visible screenshots on this flyer scan (courtesy of Try) .. the patterns look a lot more promising.
