Great news, it's almost ready for public release. Some internal testers have given a thumbs up to the gameplay system thus far.
The DDP (DoDonPachi) Combo System basically rewards you for rapidly destroying your enemies. The faster you do it, the more time you have for the combo. The more kills you get, the better the bonus.
Your initial bonus per hit in a combo is +10 points, but this value multiplies by 2 for every 10 hits you get in a combo.
You'll also recieve a bonus at the end of a stage for your max combo, equal to 1000*Max Combo Hits.
The features that will be availble in the trial version are...
-Trial Stage (Demo exclusive level. Will have to be unlocked in final release)
-Weapon Array Types 1-4 will all be availble. Only the Edit modes will be locked.
-Three difficulty settings (Easy for non manic players, Normal for typical manic players, Hard for those seeking a quick death)
Sadly, some of the graphical detail options like FPS settings and Advanced Blending will not be availble in this build. The keyboard keys can be changed, but this is very buggy, joystick support will not be in this version.
A future Trial Version release may see some of these features added (60 FPS won't be for awhile though. I'll have to re-write/modify ALL the code I have so far to make this work)
