Bullet-Hell: Slow moving bullets with tons on screen at once.
At certain points of the classic Cave produced Dodonpachi PCB, there are a maximum of 255 bullets shown on-screen (of course, the framerate slows down quite a bit)...this was cutting edge stuff for 1997, mind you... ^_~

And can modern-day arcade shmup titles increase the bullet count and still retain the arcade quality framerate issue at a consistant 60 frames-per-second?

I certainly hope not.

The CPS2 board of Mars Matrix sure shows what can be done when the "bullet hell" factor is taken to the extreme (and "over the edge"), of course with Takumi signature designed bullets to admire at... ^_~

Only if Gigawing Generations Taito Type X's port was as good as the Sega Naomi cartridge version of GW2, why mess with something that's proven to work and muck it all up (as set the standards with the CPS2-based GW1 & Naomi GW2 arcade shmup releases)? Oh well, there's always room for improvement should there be a Gigawing IV arcade PCB release... ^_~

It didn't seem like sarcasm as much as it did seem like trolling. Like I do with Compile games.

Yes, my dinner was indeed quite tasty ^_^

I actually did find your pictures quite funny, cigs, I just felt like posting a scarasm link for some reason. Needs less question marks though... Don't be such a wanker.

You're the one that got your panties in a bunch. Even Rob, our biggest Cave whore didn't act like he was the unwitting participant in a Lemon Party.

EDIT:
I mean Psikyo whore...

Wouldn't Rob be the exact opposite of a Cave whore? Or... at least he doesn't whore Cave, that's for sure. More like advises you to stay away from that cruel mistress. Perhaps he's more like a Cave cold-hearted ex-girlfriend psycho-bitch?

A bit long, but we could make him the Cave CHEGPB for short. Or we could just go play Mars Matrix ;)

It's actually not a bad idea either =)

I want to say my first manic was Mars Matrix, but I's overuses the shield, so it doesn't feel so manic. Same with Giga Wing 2, as I played that with 4 people. I once heard someone saying something about a firehose vs a candle? Yeah, quite appropriate.

I guess it would probably have to be ESPgaluda, unless you count Ikaruga? *shrugs* All this "discussion" and I'm only more confused.

It's like chess, except there are more Wikipedia articles then there are chess pieces.

I dunno. Juno First can have it's manic moments, and it was made 9 years earlier.

You mean in a bullet hell shooter? Haven't you been reading the thread? Manic shooters don't necessarily have a lot of bullets -_^

You've got a blood-dripping pirate's hook in your smiley's eye. Might wanna get that looked at before it gets infected.
