Hmm, doesn't seem like it's possible in mameplus. The Coop wrote:By the way, how can you make a inp with this game? Every time I try, it goes into its stupidly long warm up shit, even with the nvram files in place that Twiddle linked to in the other thread. I'm using the newest MAMEPlus.

Well Mame+ and wolfmame are the same thing.SiKrAiKeN wrote:Hmm, doesn't seem like it's possible in mameplus. The Coop wrote:By the way, how can you make a inp with this game? I think this might be something that Barry only added to wolfmame, but it allows you to record+playback games without having to wait through the countdown.
Remember that the rom we're using is viprp1 for before .107u2, or viprp1j for .107u2 and after. I have wolfmame .99, so I'll explain my directions assuming you were using it. If you use another version, you'll have to change the exe name when you type it in cmd, and possibly the rom name as well.
Start the game up in the command line (unfortunately you can't do this in MAME32 gui, as far as I know). You'll have to type "mameip99 viprp1" without the quotes. Let the counter reach zero, then quit out of MAME.
Set the nvram file to read only (go under the nvram folder, right click the file->properties->check the box). When you go to record, type "mameip99.exe viprp1 -record viprp1 -allownvram" When you go to play it back, just change -record to -playback . You can change "viprp1" after -record to whatever you want, it's just the name of the inp file.
If you want other people to watch the recording, I think you'll need to include the nvram.
Well if they were exactly the same there wouldn't be a point for wolfmame's existenceshoe-sama wrote:Well Mame+ and wolfmame are the same thing.
Anyways...
I think there might be a way to record w/ nvram in gui too.
Can you go check what it reads on #record in the Viper Phase ini file?
(ini folder, viprp1.ini). I think that's the thing that needs to be changed, but I have no idea what to change it too.
olol, I always thought wolfmame was a different name for mame+sikraiken wrote:Well if they were exactly the same there wouldn't be a point for wolfmame's existenceI tried doing the -allownvram in the latest version of mameplus (118u4) and it didn't work. I tried adding "allownvram 1" to the viprp1.ini file for wolfmame99 and that didn't work.

What happened to that spread reduction?
That and Icarus gets rightfully humiliated by sik again.Rob wrote:You know it'll benefit our team, since RFJ would have kicked our collective asses.Twiddle wrote:You know the people who voted in favor of this game who did it just to reduce the spread between the high tier players and the lower tier players?
